Tamarind (تمر هندي)

Tamarind is a hardwood tree with the scientific name Tamarindus indica. It is native to Africa, but it can also be found in India, Pakistan, and other tropical areas. The tree produces bean-like pods that contain seeds surrounded by fibrous pulp. The juicy pulp becomes paste-like and more sweet-sour as it ripens.
