Alum (الشبة)

Alum is a chemical compound that is typically a hydrated double sulfate salt of aluminium. Potash alum is primarily used to extend food shelf life while also improving food taste, flavor, and texture. It is also used in water purification treatment to improve drinking water sedimentation. It is also used in the tanning of leather and the production of aftershave.
